Do I need to be a chiropractor to franchise with The Joint?

No. In fact, the majority of The Joint’s franchise owners did not have any experience in the chiropractic industry before opening their own clinics. Our franchise owners have diverse backgrounds, from former Major League Baseball players to former ice cream shop owners. What unites all of them is their ability to follow our proven business model and their desire to help spread the benefits of chiropractic care with their communities.

Note: Some states do not permit an unlicensed person to own or operate a chiropractic practice or clinic. In those states, you would own a chiropractic management franchise that provides management services to a professional chiropractic practice owned and operated by a licensed chiropractor. Please consult our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) for more information about this structure.

Why is The Joint a great investment for chiropractors?

The Joint is a far simpler business model than traditional chiropractic clinics. For starters, The Joint offers only one service, a spinal alignment conducted by hand, and offers a membership model which does away with the need for insurance. This means more time helping patients heal and zero time wasted chasing down insurance companies for payment. The Joint also treats far more patients than a traditional chiropractic clinic could possibly imagine, increasing the potential profitability of a clinic with The Joint far higher on average than a traditional clinic.

What are the financial requirements to qualify for franchising with The Joint?

To franchise with The Joint, you will need to have the required liquid capital of $100,000 to open your own new business.

Will you help me secure financing?

The Joint does not offer direct financing. However, the company works with several third-party financial institutions that may be able to help you with financing.

Is there a continuing royalty fee?

Yes. The continuing royalty fee is 7% plus 2% to a national marketing fund**.

Assuming I’m not a chiropractor, how do I hire one to work in my store?

The Joint’s management team will provide training and ongoing guidance to help you source the best chiropractor for your business.

I’ve never built a store before. How does this work?

The Joint’s management team will guide you through all phases of the site selection, lease negotiation, construction, training, grand opening and ongoing processes for marketing and operations.

How large of a space do I need for The Joint chiropractic clinic?

The Joint Chiropractic clinics have a small footprint, averaging around 1,200 square feet. This makes securing the perfect location for your franchise easier, shortens your build-out time, allows you to keep your clinic looking spiffy and professional, and get your business up and running without delay.

How many employees do I need?

For the launch of your new chiropractic clinic, it is recommended that you employ a minimal staff of three to four people, whom you will extensively train to maintain the quality of services, as well as to ensure that your customers have positive experiences in your clinics.

Do you offer training and support?

The Joint has developed an intensive training platform that includes how to manage every aspect of your business, including the most important part: the methods by which The Joint chiropractors interact with our patients. You’ll also be trained on how to operate your point-of-sale system and effectively market your business in your community. Continual reviews are provided to help you meet financial and performance goals, including the development of a business plan before you open your doors.

Why is The Joint a great fit for veterans?

Military veterans are uniquely qualified to franchise with The Joint, as they have a proven ability to follow systems, procedures and processes necessary to make any venture successful. Because The Joint’s business model is easy to run and easy to scale — requiring no previous chiropractic experience — it is a perfect fit for honorably discharged veterans who aspire to turn their dreams of entrepreneurship into reality.
