The Joint Chiropractic’s management team brings a level of experience unparalleled in the franchising industry
Peter D. Holt, President & Chief Executive Officer
Peter D. Holt has been active in the franchise community for over 30 years, managing franchise systems in domestic and international markets.
Prior to joining The Joint in April 2016, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Tasti D-Lite LLC. During his tenure there, Holt transformed the NYC-based licensed outlets into a complete business format franchise system and in 2011, led the acquisition of Planet Smoothie and its integration into the Tasti D-Lite business.
Over the years, Holt held various management positions with franchised companies including working for Mail Boxes, Etc. for seven years, first heading up international franchise development and ultimately taking over domestic franchise development and national account sales. MBE (now The UPS Store) is the world’s largest franchisor of retail centers specializing in shipping, business and communications services. Additionally, Holt has held positions at Brice Foods, Inc., Great Hills Partners and International Franchise Association.
He served on the International Franchise Association (IFA) Board of Directors from 2013 to 2015 and as Chairman of the International Affairs Network (IAN) of the IFA from 1998 to 2007.
Holt earned a Master of Arts degree from the University of London and completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Washington, where he graduated cum laude.
Jake Singleton, Chief Financial Officer
Jake Singleton joined The Joint in June of 2015 as corporate controller. During his tenure, he has been responsible for the full accounting operations of the company, including the production of timely financial statements and related SEC filings, and maintaining a comprehensive set of internal controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results. He brings technical accounting knowledge, robust experience in Sarbanes-Oxley internal control implementation and compliance, with a strong SEC reporting background that will help guide The Joint Chiropractic in its growth as a public company. Previously, Singleton was a senior manager with Ernst & Young. During his 10 years in the Assurance & Audit practice, he focused on serving public companies and assisting in raising capital through debt and equity offerings. Singleton also gained international experience in EY’s Capital Markets transactional accounting group during a two-year rotation in the United Kingdom, where he focused on US GAAP & SEC reporting compliance for foreign entities raising capital in the United States.
Jake received both his Bachelor’s Degree and Masters of Accounting from the University of Arizona and holds an active Certified Public Accountant license (CPA) in Arizona and California.
Jason Greenwood, VP of Marketing
Jason Greenwood started with The Joint Corp in January of 2018. From October 2014 to January 2018, Jason was the Chief Marketing Officer at Peter Piper, Inc. From September of 2012 to October 2014, Jason was Vice President of Marketing for Peter Piper, Inc. and from January 2008 to September 2012, he was Director of Marketing for Peter Piper, Inc.
Eric Simon, VP of Franchise Sales & Development
Eric Simon has 20 years of franchise experience with brands such as AAMCO, FRANdata and Mail Boxes Etc./The UPS Store. He also spent five years as an area developer and franchisee for Extreme Pita. Eric received his Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the University of Rhode Island.
Jorge Armenteros, VP Operations
Jorge Armenteros has been with the company since January 2017 and brings with him over 40 years of franchise experience. Before coming to The Joint, Jorge held positions as Sr. Vice President of Franchise Operations and Development at Compero USA Corporation in Dallas, Texas, from January 2007 to May 2016. From 2003 to 2006 Jorge owned Tri-Brands Management Group LLC, an operator of franchised Dunkin Donuts, Baskin-Robbins and Togo’s in Orlando, Florida, where he managed the day to day operations, corporate retail properties and provided consulting services to various business entities. From 1984 through 2003 Jorge was the Vice President of Operations at Dunkin Brands where he participated in the development of Board strategies for a $4.8 billion franchise business, he was a member of Dunkin Brands finance board and led franchising, operations, development, and marketing organization of 160 staff and field personnel to achieve $1 billion in sales, $75 million in profits, with over 1,300 franchised locations. Jorge first started in franchising with McDonalds where he was a field consultant from 1972 to 1989.
Mark J. Miller, VP of Real Estate & Construction
Mark J. Miller is a proven leader with more than thirty years of experience at Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders. His areas of expertise embrace the full spectrum of real estate development, including market analysis, site acquisition, contract negotiation, construction, design, facilities and disposition. Mark has demonstrated executive ability leading large development staffs, managing multi million dollar capital budgets, working extended geographical areas and integrating large mergers and acquisitions.
